where to go? where to go? shall any representative of any city (except Dallas of course), care to "pitch" me their brochures/5-min elevator thing my way? I may perhaps move to your fine city at some point. |

Here in Mexico City we have a simple community, a good economy and great pay, as the major business pays you by productivity. We also have 0 crime, literally I've been here for three months without an arrest. I'm getting paid 12.50 a pop for 50% productivity, and for every +10% we get a .50 raise. I don't know why people don't come here. No drama out here, either. Edited by brendan501, Sep 12 2011, 03:45 PM.

Better map than Paris, laid back atmosphere, no crime... Sydney is easily the best. |

Which city has the best economy right now (as in, cheap prices without a flood of goods, so that both businesses and consumers are doing well)? Cuz I know NYC's economy has pretty much stagnated because there's WAY too much supply and not enough demand. |

that sounds a little negative. Dallas has a bit of an oversupply as well, and most of tht is gov stuff, which I think should be reduced somewhat. |

Stagnated for businesses... New York has always been a city that paid very low average wages, so in that regard the Economy in NYC is still as it always has been, except that there is now a sharp drop in prices for the consumer. Asriel |

Is there a way for the mayor to control the quantity of government products available? |

I would say, there's very little reason government items should over-supply in low-demand markets. that is to say, it crushes other competition, and anyone purchasing government items doesn't exactly mean it puts that money in anyone's profits. you could probably call the $10 base salary a rebate to reciprocate, I feel that is under-valued with the low demand markets (possibly because of a low CC population), to sustain citizens. but anyway, that is not entirely what this thread is about but carry on. No, NYC used to be more profitable (back during the beginning of the old IoA's days), when there were enough consumers to drive the markets, and not everyone was so high in stats and it actually meant something to have 100% productivity. Nowadays, everyone is producing high-end products, so there's really no way to put yourself "above" the competition. All of the items my company makes just get drowned out by the competitors', and the sheer amount of products available means we rarely make a profit. |

I recommend London :P. It's active, second biggest city, active politics, however we do have a "stagnant" economy. Just like every other city in the game now. |

Sydney does not have a stagnant economy in a few of the markets. Happiness is sold out currently and some of them have only a small stock. |

I am a citizen of Dallas yet I have done much travelling and I find New York the best (last time I lived/worked there was last month) so I don't know if any law changes have taken place at all but if it is the same then its my favourite city except Dallas :D |
