Well, I dont think that is very true. v1 was closed down without a v2 planned. And with about as many active on the forums.

Maybe even more actives on the forums. At least more exciting crazy activity....

... just not a lot of people in-game.

Would anyone even notice if admin took the game down and left the forums up?

When CC1 was aborted, we asked him to leave the forums up..... but he wouldn't.

Unfortunately, I was unable to do anything to convince him to keep the forums open the first time around. He kept it open for a little while but when it was gone, it was really gone. The old forums are here, just hidden from view except for Admin/Mod staff.

Kev already said he wouldn't close this one down. At this point, I don't foresee him closing the game. I think if numbers dwindle a significant amount then he'd consider it. But for now, he's kept his word and kept the game open.

Well I think most browser games have been in decline as of late. It really isn't any of the games' fault as much as the fact that the technology has moved at such a rate that players just aren't as interested in these kinds of games anymore.

If I know admin though, he will not close down the game any time soon; as long as we (as in the dozen-or-so active forum posters) stay active, he's not the kind of guy to shut down a game he's worked so hard on just because it no longer has as many people playing, unless there IS a v3 planned (which I doubt at this stage).
It takes a certain amount of money to maintain the servers for the game. If it dwindles to the point that the active citizens aren't paying the bill, he either has to

a) shut down or
b) pay out of his own pocket to let you keep playing.

I'm bettin on 'a'.

I would have to agree with Ana here, if it isn't profitable, why would someone keep it? If admin is anything like the rest of the adults I know he has his own bills and a CC Charity probably won't be happening.

I have ask myself why I'm logging in twice a day to floss my cyber-teeth. I'm not getting any good answers from myself.

Most people by the time they are 8 have mastered tying their shoes, using the potty and eating at McBarf and it isn't the major focus of their day. But there isn't any way to progress beyond basic functionality here and I don't see that happening at any time.

If the game isn't going to develop besides a brief test of how to program with the google map system then resources should be concentrated elsewhere like CN which still has a respectable player base. At least for now.

But Lizardo! You can totally try and be mayor too!

Yeah, pretty amusing that this ever passed alpha testing. I don't know exactly who would consider this an actual game. Sadly it is a decent foundation, just shoddy implementation.

There are about 979 people who consider this an actual game, if you don't feel like it is anymore I'd suggest going to the Edit Citizen page and clicking the Delete Citizen Form. It's down there near the bottom with the red circle and white cross you wont miss it. It's a simple solution rather than complaining about this not being a "real game" no one is keeping you here. :headphones:

As I have said before, Mr. Current Events, I have said before I am not in this game because of the gameplay. Rather just boredom and watching the forum. There is 10k+ people who decided it wasn't a real game and hit the delete button.

So you get to deal with my complaints

Hi there ^^

How did the other Cybers-whatevers get so many people anyway, I mean, last I checked on my CC account, (which I visit usually on a weekly basis) they got 26-27G of players...

Is it because that place appeals to the part of us that wants 'World Domination' or is there an actual thing to it?
I mean I just joined it out of curiousity, same with this too, but I doubt that's what'll get more than a couple thou's worth of players...
