Our Story: Hello there, Drake Anderson, Party Chairman of The Federal Government here. I've forgotten to add a page on the Forums for our beautiful party, so here it is, exactly 101 days after it was created. Here is a little description about us: We have gone up in political races many times with the head honchos of the bigget parties. We first made our first appearence in good ol' New York City, speaking out against the cruelties of the IoA. I believe we got at least 3 votes there. We stayed in New York for a fairly long time, then had been challenged by Shadix, dictator of Rome, and Head of Imperium, a very large party at the time. We took the challenge, standing out against all injustices the opposition threw our way. I even took a beating every day for 2+ months, for standing out against the opponent. Then, Shadix left the city hundreds of dollars in debt, and even moved away from the city during his term. TheStig, already having seen this, took advantage before I could. He became the new mayor of Rome. He as well, kept my rights and protection out of reach. That term I recieved 9 votes and came in 2nd place in the election. The next term, TheStig was still mayor, and after a small process of things, I got my protection back. Squinj and TheStig reformed Albion, a past party, and it multiplied at a rapid rate, and has now become one of the largest parties formed today. I was tied for first with TheStig once again, with 5 votes and 5 votes, but sadly, lost again by 1 vote. Stig won with 9, while I came in 2nd with 8. Well, it is a new term, and here's hoping we'll do well. All in all, I encourage you to join The Federal Government and just remember, "Vote Drake". At that point, there would be no expensive ordinances, and the city employees would not get paid. The other way I could take it, is to raise taxes of both types, get to where Rome should be, but in the mean time have more ordinances, and pay city employees good salaries, except for myself. Security: I promise Rome a complete police/security force. Not just 1 officer as the current mayor has it. I will make sure there are no attacks on innocent citizens and that anyone who does, will be put in jail. Jail time will be set a max, and the jail fee will be payable, but high enough to discourage future crimes. I will not take away any citizen's protection. Taxes: Possible tax matches: -Sales 3% -Tax 3% -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Sales 0% -Tax 5-6% Ordinances: This depends on the selected stat to upgrade. Though I will for certain make the Gambling ordinance avaliable, and obviously a few others. Again, I'll have to see what works out best. Programs: 1. New Members program (to encourage more citizens into Rome) -Ordinances, player invitations, good business, make Rome look like the best city to choose to live in. 2. Welfare program (to help raise the income/profit of each citizen) -More or less like NYC's program, giving them either postitions with a Welfare based pay in my company, or giving them temporary 1-5 day police positions to earn a higher wage. 3. Training Center Program (to help raise the strenght stat of each citizen) -Use a specific training center. List 1-5 Roman names, and people train on them. Then the next day, the names are switched by citizen requests and people train on them. 4. Give-Away Program (to help raise the other stats for citizens that can not get them) -Sponsorship needed, but basically giving away a certain to be decided item.
