This is for all the people that want to start up their own company but just don't know how to make one. This is also for people who have a company but need help moderating it. I have some experience making companies. Well here it starts.

What do I need before I start a company?
The game only tells you that you need $25 but it goes way further than that. To start a company you need at least 5 people joining your company the day it starts. Also you need to know what your city produces the most and which items sell the most. Make sure you have a good name too.

Ok I created my company, now what?
After you have officially created your company you want to start making items that the people in your city like to buy. Set the employee salary base to $10 and when you get money increase it to a high amount, then lower it again and make everyone's wage $10. Some people will never notice and some may. That doesn't matter anyways because you just got some more employees and more items produced. Make sure that your employees only buy from the company. This makes sure that your company is receiving money and your company employees pay their wage themselves. When the company is fully developed you can increase the wages of your best employees. I suggest the higher wages go to your most active employees who have high productivity rates. Also once you produce a decent amount of items you can switch the item your company produces to fit the need of your city.

Who should I appoint manager positions to?
You want to appoint manager positions to the people you trust the most. It is easier to make one person everything then just one position.

What else can I get from my company?
There are some additions to owning a company. For example you can use your company as a base for a political party. You can create your own party or you can join another. So if your employees join your party they can receive a small raise or something of that sorts. But it is all up to you on what you want to use your company for.

That pretty much wraps it all up.

If you have any questions you can always send me a PM.

I am only just getting started, but what do you need 5 employees the first day for? I have seen tons of companies with fewer then that, and I know I saw at least 1 or two start up recently with just the owner. Some of your advice seems dodgy; raise their salaries, then lower it and hope they don't notice? That is no way to get a good long tem employee!

5 employees is a good base to start with. I am not saying it is required, just recommended.
And you would think that but how do you think The New York Lifestyle was so good. This is a guide from my previous experiences.

Great topic, should help a lot of newcomers looking to start their own business. Hope you don't mind, but I am going to pin this so it doesn't get lost in the clutter.

Thanks again!

Make the name of your company start with something that will make it easy for your employees to find. If you have to search through 1000 items to find the one made by your company it helps if your companies name is either first or last alphabetically. Then you just have to switch the sort to find the items you made.
